Jazzed, with A Certain Note is my first jazz album. Having spent many years in the world of Pop, I discovered my real calling: Jazz. This project is the close collaboration with several precious and talented musicians who helped me record and produce it, believing in every step and understanding the risk. The enthusiasm was such that nothing could stop us. Now the time has come; now the dream is coming true!

 

This adventure is intended to be an "easy listening" jazz album embracing a slightly impressionist and avant-garde side. This is reflected in the choices of the cover songs, each piece being chosen and personalized with tender loving care.

 

I chose the covers with the help of an extremely talented arranger. They are very popular songs but very rich musically as well as in expression and their message. The repertory was analyzed at length: it was not an easy task to bring together the composers and authors of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and yes, two of the songs are our own compositions.

 

We are offering a wide musical palette from Edith Piaf to Sting, from Michel Legrand to Michael Jackson, from Paul McCartney to Gnarls Barkley ... and more and more ... but Jazzed! Journey with us through the realms of Jazz and Latin Jazz; all these colors are combined with the same challenge and in the same Jazzed voice and are aimed to touch even the least scholared in jazz because in the first place, the most beautiful and the most important thing is to let the heart speak… Yes exactly that! … communicating this dimension which is in us all yet surpasses us in emotion. Even as the difference is great between each author and composer, a red and gold thread connects their universes, contrasting each other, leaving an original and quite obvious mark.
